I
write the Thraxas books under the name of Martin Scott.
My real name is Martin Millar. I'm Scottish, from Glasgow. I've lived
in London for a long time. My first novel, Milk,
Sulphate and Alby Starvation, came out in 1987. I've had around
16 books published. Sometimes I've been successful,
sometimes not so successful. My best known book is probably
The Good Fairies of New York. I write every day. I like
cable TV, music, books, films, and my friends. I also struggle with
agoraphobia, which is quite severe. At the moment, the agoraphobia
is winning. In 2002 I won the World Fantasy Award for Thraxas. My
new book, Lonely
Werewolf Girl, was recently published in Britain,
America and Italy.
