Dear Martin Scott, please return to the Thraxas series and finish this amazing story at once. Thraxas stands head and shoulders above the reams of garbage cranked out in today's Fantasy. I am not joking: when it comes to comic fantasy, the Thraxas series is number one chariot. Your books are much more readable and immeasurably more entertaining than the popular rubbish disguised as book in this genre. Your publishers are dumber than an orc to have caused the series to grind to a halt. It's a public and literary disgrace. Millions of readers are about as miserable as a Niojan whore because they don't know what happens after Thraxas Under Siege. The tears of jilted fans are flowing and as a result the world is about to become wetter than a mermaid's blanket. After having re-read the series for the nth time, I am madder than a mad dragon at being left dangling at the cliffhanger. Please do not abandon Thraxas. I predict that this series will enjoy further success and a good long life if given the chance. Give us more Thraxas so I and a legion of others can be as happy as an elf in a tree. Ibrahim

I'm just looking for news. What a pity the books won't be continued. I mean, a great novel won't be continued just because of some buisnessman who think they haven't enough money yet. As i said It's just a pity

Hi! I'm writing my BA on humour in fantasy and I write about Thraxas series. However, I've got a problem. What is the name of the world Thraxas lives in? How it looks like? There is only a map of Turai neigbourhood and it would be nice to see how Elvish Isles look. I would appreciate any information on the geography of this world. Maybe some links? I finished reading the thraxas series a few years ago. They were great but really need an ending. I and many others I know really hope u find the motivation to continue the series or at least give some kind of ending to the series. It's agonising for your fans who yearn to see what fate has or had in store for the main characters in the Thraxas series. So please continue mate.

I read the all the books i could get my hands on, in about 3 days. 7 books in total. Looking for episode 1 atm, but apparently then I'll just have to hope for more in the future. I read on this site that you've let your publisher and agent work out if any more episodes appear, thats your choice ofc. I have to say that the reading experince was great, just like LotR, Paksenarrion and other fantasy series, I have 4 bookcases full. Yours numbers 1 of the better. Tyvm for enriching my life as others have. GL2u and your futher writing exploits. A fantasy addict

I just finished the 8th book. Great reading, esp. characters. Thanks a lot, Martin! Most fantasy books nowadays quite boring or just stupid. Yours are great fun. By the way elves, orcs, humans ... are there any other races? I looked up the world map. It's huge and detailed - plenty of space to continue the adventure ;)

"Thraxas" has its potential. It's one of the best fantasy I have ever read despite some things I dislike in the created world. Nevertheless, I hope you will return to "Thraxas" to make it even better series. The biggest error is that "Thraxas" is very short so far and discontinued. I will check your other writings out someday. But I hope it will be "Thraxas - Volume 9". Good luck in your artistic creativity!

I can just agree to redrum from your Thraxas blog address. The Thraxas series has no end, it stops at the most thrilling point. I think if you would have stopped after 6 or 7, it would not have been that "bad", because at least the single book stories had an end. But book 8 stops in the middle of the story and this is somehow unsatisfactory and a pity for such a fascinating series.

Laws of Attractions states: like attracts like. If you believe it will not work. Then it won't. If you believe it will. Then it will. I'm asking every Thraxas Fan out there to imagine having the 9th book already. It will come. Imagine what kind of good reading it will bring. Thraxas waking up within the small sail boat with Makri and Lisutaris, Mistress of the Sky, in the bay of some city. A city where adventure awaits. Fresh employment for Thraxas perhaps with respectable clients for a change with the aid of Makri Skills with her swords. Maybe Lisutaris warns this City Council of Orc invation of Turai. Even a sword fighting event in the City Arena perhaps. Martin, The first book won the World Fantasy Award man! That says something about the book. My wife and I went all the way to the UK to pick up the 8th book because we sold out here in Arizona. I took the chance and found one book on the last day of my visit just because I believed that I had the book already. Every book shop from London, Ireland, Scottland and finally returning to London, I found that one book. And it was the only one left too. I wanted that 8th book and I want the 9th just as bad. Baen, Orbit or your Publisher cannot stop you from believing in something that you created and brought to life with your very own hands and mind. You are a manifester of your dreams. We all are manifesters of our dreams and wishes. Make it happen Martin. Please... Find the desire and you'll find the way to share the wonderous world of Thraxas.

I am saddened as are many by the non-appearance of the next Thraxas book. Love them to bits. We will live and hope. Anyway I was wondering how much support there would be for helping me to develop a range of white metal miniature figures of the characters. I am a roleplayer and wargamer and Thraxas and Makri I feel would make great figures. Any thoughts? I have made enquiries already. I'll check back here later for responses yes?

I just finished re-reading Thraxas Under Siege a couple of nights ago, and checked Borders last night in the hopes of finding the next in the series was out. When I didn't find it, I then searched for a website on the series today to see when it might be due, and was saddened to read that there are contract issues holding things up. I would like to add my best wishes on behalf of the author and all of the other eagerly-awaiting fans of the series that things can be resolved soon so that we can find out how our heroes survived the boat trip they were embarking on at the end of the last book. By the way, I have enjoyed the series very much, especially once they were being published in the US so I didn't have to drive up to Bakka Phoenix in Toronto to find them. :-) Best of luck, JohnF
