It's starting to drive me mad, that i can't find your books in any bookshops round here, and i'm including Leeds and Manchester, believe it or not. What's wrong with these shops? Okay, they're nearly all Waterstones, who need taking down a peg or two since they bought virtually every other bookshop in Britain and then started to decide what we should all be reading, but no books by you? They're mad. Oh well, looks like i'll be buying Lonely Werewolf Girl direct from your website. Serves them right.

Thanks for all your brilliant stories and for signing Lonely werewolf girl for my friend Joanna. She's fair delighted. Said the envelope stank of fags. I ordered my copy from amazon. My envelope stank of corporate greed. P.s. How come Pat Kane is on your facebook? Are you a Hue and Cry fan?! Kind regards, Jacqui

Hi, Just wanted to say that I read 'Lonely Werewolf Girl" over the weekend, LOVED IT, can't wait for the sequel. I have ordered The Good Fairies of New York already, and as I work in a bookshop I will be peddling your books to unsuspecting customers henceforth - well as soon as we get them in stock anyway..... xxx

I will definitely read it. Are you a GU alumnus? Did you post a message in THE Avenue a couple of years back looking for people who had been at the concert?. I have friends visiting from Ayr and we were reminiscing about those days. Your work seems to be popular here.

to answer a few questions below - Christine, yes I was at that concert, I based 'Suzy, Led Zeppelin and Me' around it. It was a great gig! Who could compare to Led Zeppelin in their heyday? Joel, the sequel to Lonely Wereweolf Girl is more or less finished, but it will be around a year till it's published. Tony, I love it that you made "#1 Chariot Lager" !

Martin, I just want to post my favorite LOL in reading Thraxas. He and Makri are facing off in a duel to the death; his sword shatter and Makri moving in for the death blow. Thraxas intervenes with a question about her prep for her lecture and Makri deflates to the couch. Then when Thraxas tries to brag about his ability she comments how she remembers the fight. It’s brilliant, unexpected and funny…everything a growing boy needs. Dr_rayray@yahoo.com

I recently Suzy, Led Zeppelin and Me and was overwhelmed. This may be one of the best books I've ever read, and at 53, I've read a lot of books! It was almost like a comfort food and got me past a rough patch. I don't often re-read books but I would re-read that one in a heartbeat. Coming from that era, I also identify with it. I'd already read The Good Fairies of New York and was convinced from that experience that you are taking urban fantasy to a place it needs to go. I can't wait to read Lonely Werewolf Girl. Your books are funny and fun to read, in fact brilliantly so. Are you planning to write anymore biographical material like "Suzy?" Maybe you have and it's not in print here in the U.S. And that's a crime...

As soon as I picked up Lonely Werewolf Girl, I could not put it down. Your writing is just so... Unique. It's like you're telling the story to me, sitting there. The verse is so informal and just plain excellent. I picked up The Good Faeries and it's having the same exact effect. You sir, have a fan for life. I hope to very soon have some fan art of Kalix to share with you, her character is so striking. I just hope you share a revisitation to the MacRinnalch clan soon. I just have so many questions... Anyway, thats enough rambling. Thank you SO much for the stories Mr. Millar, and I can't wait to dive back in... Sincerely, Joseph Ingoldsby

Hey Martin Read LWG while on holiday; was browsing the shelves for holiday books, saw it and had a big happy grin before I read it, during and afterwards. Took me back to when I first read Lux, and DOSAS and GFoNY. Remembered the smell of the Urban Free Festival in Deptford, long nights at Cooltan. So glad that you've written this - for me - so I can have the joy of reading it - and for you because you deserve the publicity and the success and the plaudits and the royalties. Ages ago I thought that GFONY would make a fab musical - same goes for LWG. How about teaming up with Carter to make a Good Fairies musical?! Looking forward to the next one X
